Peppermint Bark- Easy Homemade Gift For Teachers and Neighbors

This peppermint bark is something I love to make and give away during Christmas. I like the bright green color...and it tastes good, too. The mint flavor isn't too overpowering. The recipe is simple and when package up it makes a nice gift for teachers, neighbors, friends, or whatever baking extravaganzas you have going on.

For this recipe you will need:

Directions:

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicon baking mat. Set aside.
  2. In microwave, melt white chocolate chips in 30 second intervals. Watch closely. White chocolate burns easily. Stir until smooth and spread onto prepared baking sheet.
  3. In microwave, melt candy melts. Stir in extract. Stir until smooth. Spread on top of white chocolate layer.
  4. Sprinkle with crushed candy canes.
  5. Chill until firm (about 10 minutes). Break into small pieces. Store in airtight container.
 Hope you enjoy!

This recipe was adapted from taste of home.
