Alphabet Letter Recognition- Toddler/Preschool Activity w/ free printable!

Here is a fun way to help your toddler or preschooler recognize letters and sounds.

Materials needed:
  • alphabet cookies ( I use these from Amazon)
  • placemat
  • various objects for you child to identify (lemon, pencil, water bottle, toys, objects they are familiar with)
Steps:
  1. Lay out 3-5 cookies (that begin with the letter of objects you have selected) on the placemat in front of the different objects.
  2. Have your child say the name of the objects. See if he/she can identify the beginning sounds of the objects.
  3. Have your child select the correct letter cookie that corresponds with each beginning sound and place in front of object.
  4. Reward your child with a cookie to eat for correctly identifying sounds.
